Paypal mistakenly added $92 quadrillion to a 56-year-old Pennsylvania man.
Last month, Chris Reynolds had $140 dollars in his PayPal account. Last Saturday when he checked his June account statement he found $92 quadrillion on his account.
PayPal apologized to Reynolds for the error and offered to make a donation to a nonprofit of his choice.
"This was obviously an error and we appreciate that Mr Reynolds understands this was the case," PayPal said in a statement to the BBC.
The 56-year-old public relations executive from Media, Pa., says he was shocked to see “a number with a lot of digits” when he opened his PayPal statement for June.
When Reynolds logged into his PayPal account to double-check the numbers, his account balance had been reduced to $0.
