一、先声夺人 Listen and Think
-Dan: Uh, you know... You know, dad, There’s this thing called my space where, you can post all this information online. Save some trees. Have a blog.
-Rufus: Maybe if musicians got off their blogs and picked up their guitars, the music business would be in better shape.
-Dan: Spoken like a true relic.
-Rufus: Thanks, son.
-Dan: Hey, dad, listen, um, I gotta run. Are you gonna be okay?
-Rufus: Yeah. Yeah, your mom will be back. She's always been a free spirit. That's one of the reasons I fell for her in the first place.
-Dan: I meant with the fliers.
-Rufus: luckily, staple guns are old school. Go. I'm gonna be fine.
-Dan:爸爸，你知道有个网站叫Myspace, 可以把这些信息都放那上面发布。保护树木，注册个博客吧。
-Rufus:如果音乐家少上他们的博客，多花时间玩玩吉他。音乐界的现状可能会更好点。
-Dan:这话真像个老古董说的。

二、Listen and Learn 内容透析
1、post all this information online。在网上公布信息。post在这里是“发帖”的意思。它也可以作名词表示
“帖子”，取这个意思的时候，它可以和thread 互换使用。
2、have a blog blog注册一个博客。
3、论坛：BBS，Bulletin Board System的缩写，“电子公告板系统”，国内统称“论坛”。
4、版主：Moderator，主要负责管理论坛的某些版块。它还可以表示“仲裁人，调解人”。
5、发帖：start a new topic / post。楼主：thread starter。
6、跟帖：reply。跟帖的时候你可以引用别人的话：quote。有很多人还喜欢使用表情：expression/smiley。
7、对发帖、跟帖等操作比较熟练的，我们称之为“大虾”，即“大侠”的谐音：knowbie。与之相反的“菜鸟”：nowbie，即网络新手。
8、头像：avatar。个性签名：signature。
9、一些人为了获得积分在论坛里反复留言，在回别人帖子的时候没有做出交际性的评论，只是简单的表示“同意”、 “支持”，内容与主题无关，这种现象在英语中叫“bump” ，它在论坛里是“顶”的意思。
10、“潜水”是指在论坛、聊天室等只浏览不发言的行为， 这样的人就像“潜水员”一样，永远不浮出水面。它在英语 中的对应词是“lurk”，潜伏、埋伏的意思。
11、漂浮广告：floating ad。floating：流动的，漂浮的 。还有一种广告是登陆网页时自动弹出的广告：pop-up ad 。pop-up的意思是“弹起的，弹出式的”。还有一种新型的 弹出广告，它在进入网页时不显示，当关闭这个网页的时候 才弹出广告，这在英语中也有一个词叫pop-under ad。
