Kerry-Karzai security talks make progress; car bomb kills four
After two days talks between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, a new security deal could be on the horizon.

However, much of the deal depends on the issue of immunity for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. The U.S. is insisting it cannot agree to a deal unless it is granted the right to try citizens who break the law in Afghanistan at home.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE, JOHN KERRY, SAYING: "We need to say that if the issue of jurisdiction cannot be resolved, then unfortunately there cannot be a bilateral security agreement. So we hope that will be resolved and it is up to the Afghan people as it should be."
Meanwhile, Afghans continue to live amid security concerns. In Jalalabad, a suicide bomber detonated a car packed with explosives, killing four and wounding several others outside police headquarters. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
