Beckham Visits China as CSL Ambassador
中超形象大使贝克汉姆抵达北京遭围堵

贝克汉姆于昨日(3月20日)抵达北京,正式开始他作为中超联赛大使的为期五天中国之旅。此次到访也是继2008年北京奥运会后的第一次。由于乘坐私人飞机降落公务楼,出关也是走VIP通道,并且有武警和公安驻守,让很多球迷少了第一时间和偶像近距离接触的机会。贝克汉姆一行大概20人,分七辆车开往酒店。车队并没有走京通快速,而是走了五环四环三环到达光华路,抵达下榻的国贸三期酒店。早前贝克汉姆粉丝团已经与官方联系,所以特批了酒店大堂外的区域供球迷欢迎偶像。
David Beckham is currently in Beijing to begin his new role as a special ambassador for Chinese football.
The five-day visit is the former England captain's first since the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
"I think the schedule is pretty busy but I think I have been seen here ever and have a big fan based from being in the Manchester United and Real Madrid, AC Milan and of course the Galaxy so I am excited to be back."
Head of Football Center of China's General Administration of Sports Wei Jixiang says he expects to see more children getting interested in football now.
"As an excellent football player with fairly good reputation in world sports area, Beckham has been contributing a lot to promoting football games around the globe. Chinese Football Association Super League has attracted over 300 million TV audience and tens of millions of football fans. I hope the world would bring more spotlights on Chinese football with the efforts of Beckham."
Beckham's fans of course, excited about him being in Beijing.
They hurried together "We love Xiao Bei (Chinese nickname for Beckham)."
"He is so professional in football game."
"I have been inspired by his perseverance when facing difficulties."
Beckham held a press conference this afternoon in Beijing.
