Obama says to hold whoever behind Boston explosions accountable

　　WASHINGTON, April 15 (Xinhua) -- President Barack Obama said here on Monday that the U.S. government has not yet got "all answers" about the explosions that rocked Boston, Massachusetts earlier in the day, but vowed to hold anyone behind them accountable.

　　In a live televised statement from the White House, Obama acknowledged that his government still did not know "who did this or why."

　　The president did not call the explosions a terror attack, and told the people not to "jump to conclusions."

　　But he stressed that those who were responsible for the incident "will feel the full weight of justice."

　　"We will find out who did this and we will hold them accountable," said Obama.

　　At least two people were killed and dozens of others injured in three explosions that took place during the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon -- two near the finish line of the race and one at the Boston JFK Presidential Library.

　　针对15日发生的波士顿爆炸案，奥巴马当天傍晚在白宫发表了电视讲话，向遇害者致哀，向伤者表达慰问。他说，波士顿当天举行一年一度的知名马拉松比赛，本该是人们欢庆的一天，但不幸发生造成大量死伤的爆炸事件，美国人将一起为波士顿祈祷，与波士顿人站在一起。

　　奥巴马说，目前尚不知波士顿爆炸案是何人所为，以及作案动机为何，案件还在调查之中，在没有掌握所有事实前不能“贸然下结论”。但他强调，要将凶手绳之以法。

　　奥巴马当天下午在白宫听取了白宫国土安全顾问、国土安全部部长、联邦调查局局长等高级官员的情况汇报，并致电波士顿市长和马萨诸塞州州长表达慰问。他还在电视讲话中重申，已指示联邦政府为地方政府提供一切资源，帮助他们展开应对工作和调查工作，并协助美国各地加强警戒。

　　奥巴马并未在电视讲话中将这次爆炸事件定性为“恐怖袭击”。但白宫官员随后对媒体表示，波士顿当天的爆炸事件中出现多个爆炸装置，显然是“恐怖行为”，执法人员也视之为“恐怖行为”，并采取相应处理措施。

　　波士顿正在举办的马拉松比赛终点附近15日下午发生两起爆炸，已造成两人死亡，大量人员受伤，其中一名死者为8岁儿童。

　　为应对这起突发事件，波士顿警方已宣布在事发地区上空实施禁飞。与此同时，同处东北部地区的大都会纽约和首都华盛顿均已加强警戒。美国特工处增加了白宫的安保人员，对白宫周边地区实施戒严。五角大楼附近地铁站已停止使用。
