French Parliament Approves Gay Marriage Bill
法国国民议会通过同性婚姻法案
The French lower house of the parliament, the National Assembly, on Tuesday announced with a majority support its final approval to legalize same sex marriage and adoption.
法国议会众议院国民大会于周二(2013-4-23)最终通过多数人支持的同性婚姻合法化以及同性收养儿童法案。
A total of 331 legislators voted for the bill and 225 voted against, successfully paving the way for France to join dozens of other countries, mostly in Europe, to legally allow same-sex unions and adoption.
议会上共有331位合法议员投了赞成票，225人投了否决票。这也使得法国成功成为世界几十个同性婚姻及同性收养合法化的国家之一。这部分国家主要位于欧洲。
"Marriage for all," a campaign promise of French President Francois Hollande, is the most important social reform in France since the abolition of the death penalty in 1981.
