A university in the U.S. state of Oklahoma was evacuated after a bomb threat Tuesday, officials said.
The Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (USO-OKC) campus cancelled all evening classes after receiving the threat, university spokeswoman Evelyn Bollenbach was quoted by local daily newspaper Tulsa World as saying.
Oklahoma City Police said the bomb threat was called in to the OSU-OKC campus Tuesday afternoon.
There were no immediate details as to any specific location on campus that was threatened, according to media reports.
The university was asking students, faculty and staff to follow them on Twitter for the latest updates.
Several universities in Texas also had been the targets of bomb threat. The University of St. Thomas, Texas A&M University and Collin College's Spring Creek campus received similar threats, but no bombs were found in those cases.
