实用英语推荐：吃货福音： KFC推出可食用咖啡杯

Fresh from the debut of its Double Down Dog, KFC has unveiled its newestproduct: anedible coffee cup.

既新品Double Down Dog热狗推出之后，肯德基再次推出另一款新产品：可食用的咖啡杯。

The cup, named the 'Scoff-ee Cup' is made from biscuit, wrapped in sugarpaper and then lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate to keep thecoffee hot and the cup crispy.

这款名叫Scoff-eeCup的杯子是用饼干做成的，饼干里边有一层可食用糖纸和一层隔热白巧克力。这样既能为咖啡保温，也能让杯子吃起来香脆可口。

Once the chocolate lining melts over time, the biscuit begins to softencausing it to melt in your mouth.

巧克力慢慢融化之后，饼干也变得更加柔软，给人入嘴即化的享受。

Invented by the brains behind the 'War Room Martini', The Robin Collective,the cups are also infused with a selection of "mood improving aromas".

这款杯子是由War Room Martini背后的老师团队The Robin Collective研发出来的。不仅如此，这种可食用咖啡杯还将提供可以改善饮用者情绪的多种口味选择。

One of the founders of The Robin Collective, Brandy Wright, said: “not onlydo the edible cups taste amazing, but they smell delicious too. We ve infuseddifferent cups with a variety of ambient aromas including 'coconut sun cream','freshly cut grass' and 'wild flowers'."

该团队的创始人之一布兰迪·莱特称：“这款可食用咖啡杯不仅吃起来美味，闻起来也很美妙。我们在不同的杯子中加入了不同的香味，比如椰子防晒霜、刚割下的新鲜野草香以及野花的香味等。”

"These scents were used in our recipes as they have a natural ability toevoke the positive memories we associate with warm weather, sunshine and summerholidays. Things that make everyone smile.”

Brand Manager at KFC Jocelyn Bynoe said: “we have been experimenting withedible packaging to see if it could be a feasible product to bring to market inlimited quantities and thought that if our customers occasionally like to havetheir cake and eat it, why wouldn t they want have their cup and eat itinstead!”

肯德基的品牌经理乔斯林·拜诺说：“我们一直在试验那种可食用的外包装，通过限量推入市场来看看能否成为比较实用的产品。我们认为如果顾客们偶尔会想要吃蛋糕的话，那我们为什么不能提供可食用的杯子来代替呢?”

The 'Scoff-ee Cups' are still in their development phase with plans totrial them at a limited number of stores later in the year.

目前这款可食用咖啡杯还处于研发阶段，且计划在今年晚些时候限量推出。
