在上面的报道中，speculation and profiteering就是指"投机倒把"，常以speculative buying(投机性买入)为开端，并在日后speculative selling(高价卖出)，因此"投机倒把"还可以用speculative buying and selling来表达，这包括利用selling short(买空卖空), hoarding and cornering(囤积居奇), fraudulent purchase and resale(套购转卖)等方式获取暴利。
