使用不定冠词的情况

(a/an=one thing or a person)

1. 可数名词单数前：He has a camera.

2. There is后面：There is a park and a swimming pool near my house.

3. 第一次提到某人或某物时：I have got a friend from Rome.

4. 描述某人的身份/工作时：I am a student. My dad is a teacher.

5. 描述某人的特点时：I am a Chelsea supporter. My brother is a clever boy.

元音字母(a.e.i.o.u)开头的单词前使用an： Do you want an apple?

但也有少数特殊情况，记住以下常用单词的特殊情况即可：

使用定冠词的情况(the)

1. 特指某人或某物，谈话双方都知道所指的人/物：I like my class, the teacher is very good.

2. 第二次提到某人或某物时：There is a park near my house. I walk through the park everyday.

3. 所指的人/物是唯一的：Tom is in the kitchen. (家中只有一个kitchen)(the sun, the moon, the universe, the world, the country)

4. 城镇中的某些地方，且不出现在There is后面：the cinema, the bank, the post office...

5. 有些形容词(only, main, same, top)：We live in the same street.

除top外，与top同类的形容词也要使用定冠词：

6. 序数词和形容词最高级：the twentieth, the highest

7. 乐器：Paula is learning to play the piano.

8. 其他(radio, internet)：I listen to the radio a lot.What do you use the Internet for? (Internet首字母大写是标准用法，小朋友们一定要记住哦)

既不用the，也不用a/an的情况

1. 不可数名词前一般不使用定冠词(除非特指)：Education is important to everyone.

2. 可数名词复数前一般不使用定冠词(除非特指): Parents tend to spoil their kids.

3. 在街道、车站、教堂等名称前不用加定冠词: King’s Cross Station is in Euston Road.

4. Breakfast, dinner, lunch前不用加定冠词: What did you have for breakfast?

5. Next/last + week/year/month/summer前不用加定冠词: I’m not working next week.

混淆点

其实虽然情况多多，但是一般原则是不变的：可数名词单数前一般要加冠词，可数名词复数和不可数名词前非特指一般不加冠词。在此一般原则的基础上，小厚再来给大家举几个容易混淆的例子来帮助大家理解的更加清楚!

1. 可数名词单复数和冠词的搭配

2.North/ South/ East/ West

例：Verona is in the north of Italy. It is east of Milan and west of Venice.

因为north前面加了the，所以指的是一个地点。east和west前面没有加the，所以表示方向。Verona(维罗纳)在意大利的北部，在Milan的东边，Venice的西边。

3.服务行业前的冠词

在前面不定冠词中提到，描述某人的身份/工作时，要使用不定冠词。但是在除此之外的其他情况下，一些服务行业要使用定冠词the。

I am a dentist/doctor/police/hairdresser.I need to go to the dentist/doctor/police/hairdresser.
