PET必考语法点：Many/Much/A lot of
在英文里，表达数量的“多”有不同的单词及用法，接下来就让我们一起看下，这些单词的区别吧。
“很多”—— Many / Much
共同：表示数量多，两者均可以出现在否定句和疑问句中。
区别：Many只修饰可数名词，Much只修饰不可数名词。
例：
· I didn't have much fun at the party.
· Did you take many photos when you were on holiday?
那什么是可数名词和不可数名词呢?
简单来说，可数名词就是在我们生活中，可以按照个数一个一个数的物品。比如一个苹果，一张桌子，一个杯子，一台电脑等等。当表示这类物品很多的时候要用Many.
例：
Many apples/ Many desks/ Many cups/ Many computers
不可数名词则是在我们生活中存在，但是无法按照个数一个一个分开数的物品。比如水，电，时间等等。当表示这类物品很多的时候要用Much.例：
Much water/ Much electricity/ Much time
但是，除了Many和Much之外，英文中还有另外的说法表示“多”。
“许多” a lot of
A lot of 可以同时用来修饰可数名词和不可数名词。
在非正式的口语中，a lot of除出现在肯定句中外，有时也可出现在否定句和疑问句中。
但是在正式的书面语中，它不能出现在否定句和疑问句中!
例：
· I tried on a lot of clothes in the shop.
· I didn’t have a lot of fun at the party.
· Did you take a lot of photos when you were on holiday?
下面，我们用两组题来检查一下自己对该考点的掌握程度吧：

b. I like places with many people.
a. Sorry, I haven't got a lot of time.
b. Sorry, I haven't got much time.
a. I cooked a lot of Italian food.
b. I cooked much Italian food.
a. I like tea. but I don't drink a lot.
b. I like tea. But I don’t drink much.
a. Do you read a lot of books?
b. Do you read many books?
二、请将下列句子改写成否定形式
并用much和many代替句中的a lot of
1) I do a lot of homework.
2) I’ve got a lot of clothes.
3) I do a lot of sport.
4) I work with a lot of people.
5) I watch a lot of videos.
6) I eat a lot of pasta.
