1、correspondence

correspondence是名词，要注意它是一个不可数名词，意为“通信，往来的书信”，引申为“联系，关联”。

His interest in writing came from a long correspondence with a close college friend. 与一位大学密友的长期通信培养了他写作的兴趣。

She virtually never mentions him in her correspondence or notebooks. 她在书信和笔记中几乎从不提及他。

2、correspondent
