Today China follows a path that delivers win-win cooperation. In the past millennia, we Chinese have fostered ideals of delivering greater wellbeing for all, and in our national psyche there is no place for the law of the jungle that claims the winner takes all. In the past millennia, we have strived to provide greater benefits for our neighboring countries in bilateral relations. And historical examples abound that can prove this point.

Along the ancient Silk Road, we followed the spirit of openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation. 40 years ago, China launched reform and opening up to promote connections with other countries and achieve greater development and cooperation. Five years ago, President Xi Jinping advanced the Belt and Road Initiative, and it now is the most popular cooperation platform worldwide.

In its early modern period, China attempted to introduce diverse foreign systems to beef up internal dynamics, but they failed to gain acceptance because they were not in line with the country’s realities. In the end, the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China discovered a development path that has worked well for the country and followed the trend of the times. As a result, China has made impressive achievements.

Opinion polls conducted by prestigious international organizations repeatedly reveal that the Chinese pubic shows one of the highest levels of satisfaction with government and confidence in the future.
